Mohammed Salim Khan is an award winning Rohingya photographer and freelance translator. He lives in Kutupalong, Cox’s Bazar in Southern Bangladesh with his parents who were forcibly displaced in 1992. Salim is also a fire fighter instructor in the Rohingya camp, and a water safety rescue instructor in All camps. Salim’s photography has been published widely internationally including in the Dhaka Tribune, Aljazeera, Southeast Asia Globe, Borderless360, AFP, The Guardian, ABC, Washington Post and The Business Standard, among others. He took part in the “The Next Generation – Young Rohingya Refugee” exhibition held by the Oxford human rights festival (2021), the Rohingya Photography Exhibition in Venice, the online exhibition by Rohingya Action Northeast England (2022) and has been part of exhibitions in Europe, Japan, England, Sweden and Slovenia.
