Pasted as collage to the left side of the page is a black, red and green ink drawing of five upper bodies and faces together almost growing out of each other. Each one with large eyes closed. In recent times, adapting to the challenging conditions in Gaza, my homeland🇵🇸, has been extremely difficult.
The losses of precious lives have been heart-wrenching, yet I believe that Gaza will remain beautiful amidst the ashes and smoke.
It's a place filled with cherished memories and loved ones.
Despite the hardships, I have faith that Gaza will endure and eventually thrive.
As a daughter of Gaza, I carry it in my heart, and it symbolizes strength and resilience.
I'm Dana, a Palestinian visual artist and graphic designer based in Sydney, Australia. I'm passionate about expanding my artwork and exploring new themes related to identity, gender, and resistance. I'm also interested in teaching Arabic language to kids in Australia, as preserving and promoting the language is crucial to preserving and promoting Arabic culture and history. As a female artist from the Middle East, I'm dedicated to raising awareness about the issues facing Palestinian women and promoting greater understanding of Palestinian culture.
